12-08-2023, London UK Well, that didn’t go to plan! My brewhouse and fermentor supplier (whom I won’t mention here) left without completing the installation. They installed the wrong thermocouples, didn’t have all the parts necessary to complete the fermentors, incorrectly programmed the inverter, didn’t even try to program the heating components, and installed a broken heating element. However, making lemonade out of lemons, I finished the installation myself, meaning I now know my equipment inside out and all the suppliers directly, so won’t have to pay extortionate prices as we advance. It’s been painful, but I am a better brewer because of the extra effort I’ve put in over these last eight weeks. Now, we really are ready to do our first brews.
